And the results are...

Matthew had three entries. Behind him on the bottom left is his robot, which received a white ribbon. Just above that is his mechanical hand. It received a red ribbon, and his British Flag picture he did with chalk received a blue ribbon. I don't know what happened to my picture of it.
Kari won a blue ribbon for her South Dakota Mt. Rushmore picture! She thought it was funny that she did so well. I KNEW she would!

***GASP***! Miss Bethanie won BEST IN FAIR for this picture that she did! She got the rosette ribbon and a purple!

This is Bethanie's shamrock picture and it received a blue ribbon, though you cant see the ribbon well, it is hanging down behind the yellow card.

Bethanie and I went on a very fast ride. She didn't like it so much. They kept us on it way too long. I still like the thrill of the rides, but my body (in my aging years) isn't so fond of it anymore.

The weather was GLORIOUS for being the middle of July. It did rain on us just after we got to the fair, but it didn't last too long and it cooled off the air, so it was very enjoyable outside.

Matthew hates rides, but he will go on these balloon jumpy things. He also likes to play the games. He won a stuffed shark.

Bethanie LOVES rides, and she is still all girl, she HAS to ride the horses.

Madison LOVED the carousel. She was one angry woman when it was time to get off. We took her on it several times after that, and it got easier to get her off the ponies.

Because Matthew hates rides, and sometimes they are only for children, sometimes Bethanie has to go alone. Its ALWAYS more fun with a friend. This little girl was in the same boat. She was here with her grandmother, and wanted someone to ride with, so even though we didn't know them (turns out the grandmother lives a block from us) the girls clicked, and held hands almost the while time. They had so much fun together!
