ShY BaBy...

My Bethanie is such a dream child. She is! Yesterday at school, she fell at recess, and she kind of fell on some of the play equipment, and hurt her shoulder blade and bruised her back (on the right side). She fell hard, and cried. She told NO ONE, except her best friend, Macy, who comforted her and hugged her all better. Today, she can hardly move her arm, so off to the Dr. we go! It is just bruised deep inside. She has a nifty note that says she can do what she can tolerate. Oh, and she now has an asthma inhaler. We have suspected for a while. My poor thing. She will suffer in silence, rather than tell anyone!!!!!

So ShE DaNcEs...

Madison had her first night of dance lessons tonight! She was so excited! Especially when I brought out her ballet shoes from last dance season! She danced her heart out! She slipped and fell a few times, but it didn't stop her in the least! She is the one in the hot pink and silver leotard. I didn't get many good ones of her face, she was too busy paying attention to her teacher. LOL! Madison is taking tap and ballet.

Bethie starts her dance lessons on Thursday. She cant stand that Madison had hers tonight, and she has to wait a few more days. She is taking Jazz this time around.

ReLeAsEd...

My sweet husband was released from being Elders Quorum President today. :O) He is practically GIDDY with delight. LOL! He has served this calling well, several times and for many years. Right now, he is called as Assistant Cub Master (to the 11 year old scouts which = Matthew). :O) Basically he goes and teaches his own son, until February when Matthew turns 12. :O)

MaDiSoN.

She cracks me up. I just LOVE this age. The other day she told me that she was changing her name to Selina Gomez. But at school she is still named Madison, but everywhere else, we have to call her Selina. :) She comes up with the greatest stuff. What a fun kid!

sLeEp..

Sleep is SO important to everyone. If you don't get enough sleep, you just don't function very well. I have been so sleep deprived for a very long time. Apparently, while in school, and doing battle at Matthew's school, I was running on pure adrenalin. Well, it has caught up to me, and now I am having sleeping issues. At the DEMAND of my Dr. I started a medication that will help with not only anxiety, but sleeping and being able to shut off my brain while I am sleeping. It is called being Wired Tired. So, I have slept pretty well one night, and a nap today. I can see the difference in myself. I look forward to feeling like my self again. :O)

DoWn...

Remember this? I am typically running on empty. But now, I am way below the red line. I hate whining. I have so much heavy stuff in my life at this point. I cant even really talk about it to anyone. I am not coping so well, I am beyond exhausted, depressed, numb. I have to say, my parents have been such a blessing to me. They have been coming up to babysit me through this, calling me. I love them and their support.
Sadly, no one can help me. DH and I just have to figure it out on our own. We will come out on top eventually. We have to wade through a ton of crap first to get our family there. :O( I am so grateful for such a wonderful husband. I love how he is ALWAYS on the same page as I am on.
Just feel tired of being tired, tired of feeling down, tired of feeling stressed and worried about a situation I don't know how to control.
Sorry for the whine fest.
I don't like to make my blog a tough place to visit. Some days, it is just too much to be happy.

Silly...

We went to see the museum here in town today. It is rare for us to have family outings, but since we just have the girls, we took advantage. At the museum is a silly mirror. It REALLY WAS SILLY. My little girlies were laughing so hard at how their forms changed in this mirror. :O) I love to see them laugh and be happy!

MaDiSoN's BiG dAy!

Finally Preschool came! She is officially a PRESCHOOLER! And she cant stop talking about it! She is way ready to be there, and had so much fun! I tried to get a few *candid* pictures of her, but she is so much like her sister and she poses for each shot. Doesn't she look happy? SHE picked out this outfit. She saw it at Kohls and fell in love with it, mostly because it is purple. I would probably have picked out something a little less, um, LOUD. But she feels good in it, so why not?!?!

Daddy/Daughter Time...

This morning FINALLY CAME! The Day Bethanie Has Been Waiting For!!! Earlier in the week, Jeff promised to take her golfing. They went this morning, on a wonderfully nice morning. They played 9 holes, and she got to drive the golf cart too. She came back smiling and they had such a great time together!

BeThAniE's 1St DaY oF tHiRd GrAdE...

Bethanie had a great first day of third grade! She has Mrs. Limon (Sounds more like Li-moan). She was also placed in the same class as her security blanket (Macy). These two are very much alike and are dearest friends, you know the kind, they hold hands with each other, whisper secrets to one another....I envy that! The best news is that they are next to one another with desks (for now) and in student number. Their last names are fairly similar. When we picked her up from school, she was all a buzz about the days events. She is so happy to be back at school!

Matthew is on his third day of school. So far he seems to really enjoy himself with the online classes. I am really excited for him!

Madison starts Preschool on Thursday. Her teacher is having a baby on Friday, so unfortunately for her, she wont be with her regular teacher from the beginning. I hope that transition goes over well. :P

AnSwErS..

I finally have SOME answers as to what is up with my mood lately. Apparently, I am just inches away from being diabetic. Some how, since my weight loss plateaued, my metabolism slowed down, my body decided to produce more insulin than it can keep up with and I am very insulin resistant. I don't know to what degree just yet, but that would really explain why the weight gain again, the tired feeling all the time, and overall feeling of UN well-being. Even though my A1C is a 5, which is really pretty good, my fasting blood sugar was 111. 115 is the cutoff to be considered type two diabetic. I am very close. :O( I knew this was coming, because I have had two pregnancies, and with both, I had gestational diabetes. The second pregnancy, I was on quite a bit of insulin. I was also diagnosed with adrenal fatigue. It is a diagnosis of dealing with chronic stress. Pretty much, but body is shutting down, and is exhausted, along with my mind. My sleeping problems are complicating it, but with the stress in my life, my brain hardly ever shuts down. Anyway. There are some answers....now to fixing it all....

School Is ON!

Before listening to the video, pause the music at the bottom of blog!

As part of Matthew's new school curriculum, because he is in gifted class, he gets to choose TWO electives. He is in 6th grade this year. So we chose to do foreign language and art. Those wont begin until October-ish. We have to settle in on his courses to begin with. We are really excited he gets to do TWO electives. His schedule this year will be rather intense. I just hope *I* have it in me to do him justice. Here is how is schedule looks: (He chooses the order pretty much, unless it is scheduled with outside help)

Language Arts

Literature

US History

Earth Science

Earth Science Lab

Math

Social Skills :

(he goes with an attendant care worker into the community to work on social skills, not part of a school regimen, but one I wanted to add)

Piano:

(We have a Sr. Missionary couple in our Branch. Sister Thacker is working with Matthew and I on piano lessons. The video above is of Matthew, today, on his second piano lesson practice).

Art

Foreign Language (He is hoping for Spanish).

I know this will be good for him (and for me). I know this will strengthen OUR relationship with one another, and help us learn how to communicate effectively with one another, which is something we struggle with daily.

ExHaUsTeD...

This heat is enough, alone, to make anyone want to just go to sleep the day away. I have had just a few hours of sleep the last few nights. My gall bladder is dying and it is MISERABLE. It is like 104 degrees today, and sooooo very dry. My poor garden is not going to survive. I water and water, but the heat is too overwhelming for it.

Matthew started his classes today. It was a bit stressful doing it with the girlies here. I knew it would be. So they went to grandmas for a while while he finished going through it. We will see about how tomorrow goes....Bethanie starts school on Monday, and Madison GETS TO GO TO PRESCHOOL!!! She starts on Tuesday. YAYAY!!!!!!! I say that not to have them gone, because I really truly miss them when they are away, but it is because they really love having something to do.

Lemonade & Cookies!

Today we helped the girlies put together a lemonade and cookie stand. They had SO MUCH FUN doing this! We put out three signs around town. Sadly, people thought they needed to steal them, and it had to be because there was NO wind at all. Despite this, and the fact that we live on the very edge of town, and have very little traffic (with the help of advertising on Face Book), they really did quite well! They will get to go to White Grandma's on Thursday next week, when Matthew has his first day of school, and they live on a fairly busy road, and HOPEFULLY they will help them do one over there. I still have plenty of supplies, so it would be more fun for them if they had more customers, plus they need help figuring money. :) But what a crazy, hectic day! Doing all these cookies and helping the girls, it felt more like doing a yard sale than a lemonade stand! I am glad they had a good time. They are looking forward to spending their money. I know there are some really SOFT and very FUZZY blankets they would like at Walmart, so it is a goal for them.
After the lemonade stand, Bethanie had a birthday party to go to. It pretty much was a hop along all day long sort of day, but it was a fun one.

19 YeArS! HaPpY AnNiVeRsArY!!!

Yesterday we had a great time. Jeff and I left town with out children to celebrate our 19th Wedding Anniversary. I cant believe that amount of time has actually passed. Sometimes I wonder where the time actually went. Other times it seems to crawl by. But looking back, it has been an awesome 19 years. I have been blessed with such a good man. He is a good father, good worker, good husband, good Priesthood holder. I am so blessed to have him as my husband! We went to Manhattan Kansas, which is like 1 1/2 hours from our home. We ate at a restaurant called HuHots. It is a Mongolian restaurant. We had never been to a place like that before, and were slightly apprehensive about it. The older Jeff {we} get(s), the more Asperger-ish we become (set in our ways). But we ate there and L-O-V-E-D it! It was DE-LISH! Then after that, we went and did a bit of school shopping and browsing around. It was SUPER hot outside, 106, exactly as it was on our wedding day! Anyway, we had a good time, and it was really nice to spend time with one another for a whole day. What a nice anniversary gift Jeff's parents gave to us, buy watching all the kids, so we could go out for the say!!!

2010 Cloud County Fair Fun...

(Click on the picture to view the collages close up)

We had a great time on the rides at the fair last night. The kids really enjoyed the thrill of the rides that were there. Madison and Bethanie went on almost all of them with me. The girls are thrill seekers like me. It is fun to finally have someone to go on the rides with. They laughed and laughed so hard! The weather was nice. At first we thought it would rain, but it rained south of us, and it cooled off nicely. We saw a pretty rainbow off to the East.
